Winter is often the time when monitoring an empty property is most important. Heating systems work harder, damp becomes more noticeable, and small issues can snowball quickly if they're not addressed early on. A quick winter maintenance review is something we carry out this month at all the properties we're involved with.

Between December and February, we regularly see:

  • heating and hot water faults

  • damp and condensation concerns

  • gutter overflow and roofline issues

  • frozen pipes or boiler strain

  • need for guidance on ventilation and energy usage

Many of these challenges arise from minor maintenance issues that were simply delayed earlier in the year.

What's included in our Winter Maintenance Check at all our managed properties?

We review:

  • heating performance and boiler servicing

  • gutter clearance and roofline ondition

  • insulation and draught-proofing

  • damp or mould indicators

  • ventilation guidance

  • alarm testing and general winter-readiness

Yes, it's all part of the service!
